Our regular client, Laboratorium EE, together with the Ministry of Digital Affairs has decided to organize the first ever Polish governmental Hackaton, which topic was sharing data collected by public institutions.


Our studio has been asked for support in preparing the event’s visuals both on the premises as well as online. The effect of that cooperation was a Hackaton during which 90 people in 17 teams for 48 hours created apps based of public data.

Developing the Strategy

Hackathons unique value was that, the Polish government shared gathered data about its citizens with them to take advantage of that data in any way they wish. Hackaton’s unique value. Brand identity

We’ve proposed three visual directions, which constituted the effects of previous discovery workshops with the client. The one which was selected represented the spirit of cooperation and a healthy competition, in the best possible way.

Merchandise Design

One of the more interesting tasks was designing souvenirs and awards. T-shirts, backpacks, notebooks, pen drives or stickers. Those were just some items created for the event.

Web design

The main form of promoting Hackaton on the Internet consisted in a website that smoothly works across multiple devices. This time our task was simpler because the UX mockup and entire programming was handled by Laboratorium EE and we were responsible for developing the graphics, as well as website illustrations and icons.


To promote the event online and in printed form, a series of illustrations and icons presenting the idea of sharing public data and building apps on that base in a metaphoric form, has been created.


The final stage of works consisted in preparing a number of presentations for the invited guests, organizers speaking during the event.
